Attack on Titan, Tears Flowing in the Name of Brothers
Even if I watch Attack on Titan seven times, I still cry. A true masterpiece is a masterpiece. How did the author come up with such a story? There are so many tear-jerking moments. Among them, there is one tear-jerking moment that others might just pass by, but it always gets to me. It is the brotherly friendship of Colt, Porco, and Falco. Colt goes to Zeke to ask him not to scream, in order to prevent his younger brother, who drank Zeke's spinal fluid, from turning into a mindless Titan. But Zeke refuses and executes the scream. Colt hugs his brother, who will soon become a mindless Titan and kill him, and says, "It's okay, your brother will be here for you." He dies leaving his last words. Can a brother love his brother this much? Colt is too human and stimulates tears to be called just an extra supporting character. I am an only child with no siblings, so why does this scene of Colt make my heart ache so much? And there's more. It is Porco's death in the same episode. The story comes out that Porco's brother Marcel manipulated Reiner's image to become the Armored Titan so that his brother would not inherit the Nine Titans. Porco kept not understanding why he was pushed back from inheriting the Armored Titan compared to Reiner and was swept up in inferiority, jealousy, and envy, but knowing that it was his brother's intention, he was eaten by Falco instead of Reiner and passed on the Jaw Titan. This scene is also so, so sad.
